This paper discusses the importance of producing proto-bioclimatic buildings in the work of prominent architects from the modernism movement in Argentina. Three outstanding examples were selected and these were evaluated using equipment from LAMbDA (Models and Environmental Design Laboratory) and UI 2-IDEHAB (Habitat Research Institute). Solar access, day-lighting and ventilation were investigated, according to the case, and also the thermal conditions based on a stationary thermal balance. The results and conclusions are concerned with the importance and error degree of this kind of production, based on intuition and general design principles. e expone sobre la importancia de la producción de edificios proto-bioclimáticos en la obra de destacados arquitectos del movimiento moderno en la Argentina. Se seleccionaron tres ejemplos relevantes y se los evaluó utilizando el instrumental del laboratorio LAMbDA (Laboratorio de Modelos y Diseño Ambiental) y de la Unidad N° 2 del IDEHAB (Instituto de Estudios del Hábitat). Se estudia según el caso el asoleamiento, la iluminación natural, la ventilación y las condiciones térmicas a partir de un balance térmico estacionario. Se exponen los resultados y se extraen conclusiones sobre la importancia y el grado de error del aporte de este tipo de producción basada en la intuición y en pautas de diseño generales.
