Today it is possible to tackle simple construction processes, without the need for advanced knowledge or specialized labor, as digital tools allow it. . This text seeks to reflect on the impact that digital manufacturing methods and open source design have generated on Architecture, through the construction of a self-supporting structure in Madrid, recognizing new trends and valuating the possible characteristics of a new Architecture focused on solve local problems. Los métodos de fabricación digital han abierto una nueva rama de reflexión y creación para la Arquitectura del siglo XXI, Hoy en día es posible abordar procesos constructivos simples, sin la necesidad de conocimientos avanzados o mano de obra especializada, pues las herramientas digitales así lo permiten. Este texto busca reflexionar sobre el impacto que han generado en la Arquitectura los métodos de fabricación digital y el diseño de Código Abierto, a través de la construcción de una estructura autoportante en Madrid, reconociendo nuevas tendencias y evaluando las posibles características de una nueva Arquitectura enfocada a resolver problemas locales. Os métodos de manufatura digital abriram um novo ramo de reflexão e criação para a Arquitetura do século XXI, hoje é possível enfrentar processos construtivos simples, sem a necessidade de conhecimentos avançados ou de mão de obra especializada, como permitem as ferramentas digitais. Este texto procura refletir sobre o impacto que os métodos de manufatura digital e o design open source têm gerado na Arquitetura, através da construção de uma estrutura autossuficiente em Madrid, reconhecendo novas tendências e avaliando as possíveis características de uma nova Arquitetura focada resolver problemas locais.
