This research deals with recycling of the left over residue from processing of ornamental stones known as residue from the marble cutting process and gnaisse cutting process. The experimental program consisting in analyzing the physical and the mechanical properties of the residue and of the concrete, respectively, it will be present in that work. No presente trabalho efetuou-se um estudo de caracterização e avaliação do emprego de rejeitos de mármore triturado e rocha de gnaisse britada, em substituição ao agregado miúdo natural, para a produção de concretos. Realizaram-se os ensaios de trabalhabilidade, resistência à compressão axial, módulo de deformação e absorção por imersão. Os resultados apontaram que os concretos elaborados com o rejeito de mármore apresentaram características mecânicas e de durabilidade superiores, comprovando a viabilidade da utilização desses rejeitos na confecção de concreto.
