Este documento presenta reflexiones sobre tres ambientes de aprendizaje estudiados a partir de una observación pedagógica en la Escuela de Diseño de la Universidad Estatal de Carolina del Norte, en Estados Unidos, durante el semestre de otoño del año 2013. Estos ambientes académicos multiculturales favorecen la enseñanza y aprendizaje del diseño (Schôn, 1992), al estimular el desarrollo de mentalidades creativas dentro y fuera del aula de clases.
