Finalmente se exploran los impactos de esta reestructuración en las condiciones laborales y en las necesidades de capacitaciónde los trabajadores.AbstractThis article analyses the implications of recent changesin Mexican construction industry for employment and labourconditions. First, it describes the basic structure and productionrelations within the industry.A second section looks at how these have responded tosuccessive financial crises and policy changes from 1980 to2000. The reorganization of project implementation andcontractual relations, including the emergence of an integratedhousing construction industry, are then considered.
