This article intends to use the concept of organic as an analysis platform that allows us to renew our view of the architect’s work and role, in order to analyze a particular architectural trend, which took place since the 1960s, within the context of university education at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism, National University of La Plata. A journey is proposed from the problems of the organic in historiography to the arrival of ideas in Argentina, and relevant aspects of the subject of Alfredo C. Casares and Carlos Lenci, in order to analyze how the concept of organic was reinterpreted with local conditions, and the relationship between theory and practice in house buildings. Entre las distintas declinaciones que la modernidad ha tomado dentro de la enseñanza, posiblemente la orgánica ha sido de las menos revisadas por parte de la historiografía, entre otras razones debido a su multiplicidad de definiciones, sus variantes y contradicciones a lo largo del tiempo. A partir de ello, el presente artículo propone utilizar el concepto de orgánico como una plataforma de análisis que permita renovar la mirada sobre la enseñanza, las obras y el rol del arquitecto, para profundizar sobre cómo esta particular corriente arquitectónica tuvo lugar, desde la década de 1960, dentro del ámbito de la enseñanza universitaria en la Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de La Universidad Nacional de Plata. Para ello se plantea un recorrido desde las problemáticas de lo orgánico en la historiografía, algunas de las principales interpretaciones, la llegada de las ideas a la Argentina y la vertiente que tuvo peso en la cátedra de Alfredo C. Casares y su continuidad con Carlos Lenci, para desde allí reflexionar sobre cómo fue reinterpretada con las condiciones locales desde la enseñanza, y la relación entre la teoría y la práctica en las obras de vivienda. ark:/s22508112/7kjwk45d5 Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata.
