The creation of the first railways-port convergence point in this coast, on the Blanca bay, only 7 kilometers away from the Bahía Blanca city, would do arise a spontaneous settlement. Although this village was born at the “edge” of one bigger city, through the dynamism of its earlier years, it could forge its own “central” spirit. This implied growth, transformations and extension of its street plan, which derived in a complex urban configuration related to its scale. Whit the study of the logic of this successive changes, starting whit the analysis of its initial structure and understanding it as essential because the posterior actions would be defined as a dialectic consequence, this work propose as aims to add knowledge about the urbanism history of the port-city and to comprehend its process of construction and transformation. A fines del s.XIX surgieron numerosas localidades en el interior del territorio bonaerense como consecuencia del desarrollo ferroviario, mientras que la apropiación del litoral marítimo era apenas incipiente. La creación del primer nodo ferro-portuario en este litoral, sobre la bahía Blanca, a sólo 7 km. de la ciudad homónima, daría surgimiento a una población espontanea. Si bien nacida al “margen”, por el dinamismo de sus primeros años pudo forjarse un espíritu de “centro”. Esto implicó crecimiento, transformaciones y ampliaciones de su planta, que derivaron en una compleja configuración urbana en relación a su escala. Con el estudio de la lógica de esos sucesivos cambios, partiendo del análisis de su estructura original y entendiendo a esta como sustancial por cuanto las acciones posteriores se definirían como una consecuencia dialéctica, se buscará aportar al conocimiento de la historia urbanística de la ciudad portuaria y a la compresión de su procesos de construcción y transformación.
