要約:The objective of this work was to discover the effects of diversity in land use or urban entropy on the energy cost of transport. Was chosen as the study area the city of La Serena and surveyed a representative group of families of energy expenditure and various social strata and compared with urban areas of different degrees of entropy. The study showed that, regardless of social status, the inhabitants of the areas showing higher levels of entropy less energy spent in transportation to urban destinations than those living in poorer areas entropies. Based on the results of the study concluded that to reduce energy consumption in transport of the inhabitants of the city was required to increase the level of entropy, the most efficient study was contemplating in urban planning, small multi polycentrism of covering a surface urban population of approximately 78 ha.
