This paper deals with the urban aspects of the railway, both in terms of how the characteristics of the landscape influenced the railways, and how the latter in turn affected the population, regional land values and the structure of geographic space moulded by rail infrastructure, bridges and viaducts, rural and urban stations, supply infrastructure, etc. |
