Resumo:This article reflects on the intervention of the State in the production of urban space through housing policies aimed at guaranteeing access of popular sectors to land and housing. Specifically, it analyzes the effects of this intervention in relation to the residential segregation of these populations, as well as the possibilities that it enables for the establishment of popular demands on habitat. With this aim, based on an ethnographic work, the article focuses on the analysis of a conflict over relocations in a popular neighborhood of the city of La Plata.
