To do so, it is based on the analysis of the experiences of 50 names of contemporary architecture, corresponding to 37 offices, for which aspects of academic training and professional activity were investigated, as well as participation in project competitions and the acquisition of important prizes in the area of architecture. Key words: contemporary iconic architecture; offices; characterization Insertandose en los estudios acerca de la arquitectura icónica contemporánea este artículo apunta a discutir datos recogidos sobre los arquitectos responsables por ella, a fin de auxiliar en la comprensión de las relaciones entre el grupo y el contexto en el que desarrollan sus actividades. Para ello, se basa en el análisis de las experiencias de 50 nombres de la arquitectura contemporánea, correspondientes a 37 oficinas, para las cuales se investigaron aspectos de la formación académica y de la actuación profesional, así como de la participación en concursos de proyectos y de la adquisición de importantes premios en el área de arquitectura. Palabras clave: arquitectura icónica contemporânea; oficinas; caracterización Inserindo-se nos estudos acerca da arquitetura icônica contemporânea este artigo visa discutir dados levantados sobre arquitetos responsáveis pela mesma, a fim de auxiliar na compreensão das relações entre o grupo e o contexto no qual desenvolvem suas atividades. Para tanto, baseia-se na análise das experiências de 50 nomes da arquitetura contemporânea, correspondentes a 37 escritórios, para os quais foram investigados aspectos da formação acadêmica e da atuação profissional, bem como da participação em concursos de projetos e da aquisição de importantes prêmios na área de arquitetura.
