| Summary: | This paper treats about the discourses that introduced the urban science in Curitiba’ city, Parana, Brazil, during the 40‘s, based on the Ph.D. dissertation titled O Plano de Urbanização de Curitiba –1943-1963– e a valorização imobiliária. The French urbanist, Donat-Alfed Agache, who proposed the first urban plan for remodeling and extension for the city of Río de Janeiro in 1930, was the technical assistance of the Urban Plan for Curitiba in 1943. He registered some of his ideas in interviews and documents, which were redeemed and worked in this text. A parallel is made between the two urban plans of the mentioned cities, attaching social and economic matters that impel the adjust remodeling and regulation of those Brazilian cities. |
