Samenvatting: | This article explains a classroom proposal developed at two universities in the city of Medellín, Colombia (the Fundación Universitaria Bellas Artes and the Instituto Tecnológico Metropolitano), for students of the History of Design course. This proposal uses the concept of education and expanded curriculum to the development of a class exercise that seeks to generate new senses of appropriation of heritage, through visual narratives, articulating social networks, access to simple digital photographic resources and the visual heritage of Medellín for the recognition of urban space as a generator and constructor of collective memory. It is found that heritage photography has the ability to illustrate the life of the small stories that make up a collective memory and a non-linear history, which generates in the students significant relationships with the past of their city, in addition to captivating them in the investigative exercise. |
