Description
Summary:Smart human cities develop themselves in participative and citizen-centered approaches. Requalified public spaces attract more people and resources. Social innovation generates new and lasting solutions for social groups and communities through participation and collaboration. The design contributes to solving user-centered problems. In this context, the research analyzed the performance of the designer as a social actor of strategic articulation and development of projects in social innovations, aiming at the conception and construction of intelligent human cities. Its application took place in a case study: Projeto Inova Verde, in which a public garden was developed to give a new meaning to an abandoned space in a Brazilian university in the city of Florianópolis. The project was articulated by designers from a university research and extension center. It was considered that the designer has the potential to articulate the integration between community, space and project objectives, contributing to the development of intelligent human cities.
