Résumé:This paper aims to establish some relationships between quality of design and use performance of 24 elementary and high school buildings, designed and erected since 1945, sited in Great São Paulo. As methodological procedures adapt the Post-Occupancy Evaluation (POE). It takes into consideration both the technical performance evaluation and the satisfaction level of the users. Concluding with the relevance of enlightenment in the design phases of maintenance, security and safety, in future buildings with the prospective users' participation. However present users can also take part in the preventive maintenance, security and safety programs for their schools. This kind of information feedback process would emphasize how the POE could be use as a powerful tool in data base generation regarding repetitive and standardized built environments such as schools. Enabaling the inclusion of the useful indicators of quality control to the main agents engaged in the process.
