As methodological procedures adapt the Post-Occupancy Evaluation (POE). It takes into consideration both the technical performance evaluation and the satisfaction level of the users. Concluding with the relevance of enlightenment in the design phases of maintenance, security and safety, in future buildings with the prospective users' participation. However present users can also take part in the preventive maintenance, security and safety programs for their schools. This kind of information feedback process would emphasize how the POE could be use as a powerful tool in data base generation regarding repetitive and standardized built environments such as schools. Enabaling the inclusion of the useful indicators of quality control to the main agents engaged in the process. Este estudo procura estabelecer algumas relações entre a qualidade do projeto arquitetônico e o desempenho no decorrer do uso de 24 escolas de 1º e 2º graus situadas na Grande São Paulo, projetadas e construídas a partir de 1945. Como procedimento metodológico, adota a Avaliação Pós-Ocupacão (APO), ou seja, leva em consideração a avaliação técnica de desempenho e o nível de satisfação dos usuários. Conclui pela necessidade de se levar em consideração a manutenção e a segurança a nível de projeto e que esta pode ocorrer com a participação dos futuros usuários. Por outro lado, constata-se que os usuários também podem participar dos programas de manutenção preventiva das escolas em funcionamento. Neste processo realimentador, verifica-se o potencial da APO na geração de banco de dados sobre edificações repetitivas e padronizadas como as escolas, o qual poderá conter indicadores de controle de qualidade úteis aos diversos agentes envolvidos no processo.
