Gaia:This paper comprehends the approach, process, project and results of an exercise conducted at the “Théâtres en Utopie” seminar of the DPEA in Scenography at the Nantes National Superior School of Architecture, France, in 2018. The academic framework addressed topics such as utopia and theater, and proposed the hypothesis of a navigable ship–theater, as it was once brought to life by Aldo Rossi’s Teatro del Mondo in the Venice Biennale(1979). “There is no theater without utopia” (Freydefont, in: Rocher, 2014, p. 11), just like there is no theater without adventure. Thus, the extraordinary theatrical journey of the Makina project will be analyzed along the Seine.
