Sumario:The teaching of sustainability at the university level implies the use of adaptive management methodologies and systems of thought that require creativity, flexibility and critical reflection. In the case of architecture, urban planning and landscape, the teaching process also involves a predisposition for observation, innovation, visualization and the theoretical-practical resolution of problems. In line with the sustainable development paradigm, the School of Architecture at Diego Portales University has implemented the Sustainability in Architectural Teaching Plan, which includes transverse content on environmental, social and economic sustainability in its workshops. This article addresses research developments regarding the systematization of sustainability applied to workshops on architecture and the opportunities generated by the associated new pedagogical tools. Relevant findings on the architectural design workshop´s final exam rubric are presented and future prospects for the plan and its inclusion the architecture curriculum are considered.
